This week’s second port of call is Bilbao. We enjoyed a sunny, early arrival in Getxo where a new passenger terminal has been in operation since 2010.
First time in Bilbao for Mike, second time for Véronique. And already we are planning our next trip to Bilbao.
Arrival in beautiful Getxo
Sooo many things to love, see and photograph in this city in Spanish Basque Country.
Tasty pintxos (tapas) y cervezas. And inexpensive (means we can have lots).
The picture perfect Guggenheim museum and the art around it. A bridge called Zubizuri. Many parks to chill and have a coffee. The Siete Calles in the Old Town. The Promenade along the river. This is a city to enjoy life. So that is what we did.
Modern architecture at the Basque Health Department
Public transport beautifully integrated in the green
Tall Tree and the Eye by Anish Kapoor
Designer stairs next to the Guggenheim museum
A spider called Maman… by Louise Bourgeois
Getting lost in Siete Calles
They should introduce this umbrella dry rack in Belgium
