These boots are made for walking on… the White Cliffs

It is just behind the corner of the busy ferry port of Dover. It is the same, famous “White Cliffs of Dover”, and yet it is like entering another world.

Véronique and I stayed one night in St Margaret’s at Cliffe, a little village at the foot of the white chalk cliffs.

We slept in THE WHITE CLIFFS HOTEL, and after presenting you a photographic impression of the hotel and the beach (all taken with iPhone) we would like to summarize what we really liked.

Locally produced craft beers…and even a beer festival

Composition number 1: buoy and chair

Composition number 2: hairdryer and mirror

Full English breakfast

Garden breakfast

This place rocks!

Let love bloom!

Another restaurant, on the beach

Composition number 3: Dogs banned on beach

What did we like (even if our stay was way too short):

The first impression: arriving in a cozy, characterful place where you feel the love and creativity.

The evening walk down to the pebble beach.

The union jack wellington boots.

The Dorset organic cereals.

The craft beers… and the beer festival which we just missed.

The garden where we had our breakfast.

The Weisse Cliffs wheat beer. No time to taste, but we got a six-pack to bring home.

The sound of the waves on the pebbles.

Great place for photography, walking, romance, local food, weekend,…

At night, seeing the lights of dozens of ships, and even Calais.

And the feeling that we want to share this place with friends.
