Sunbathing seals in Glengarriff
18 July 2013 • Yesterday we had a stopover in Glengarriff on the south-western coast of Ireland. Green mountains meet the blackbluegreen sea in the beautiful Bantry Bay.
When the tender took us ashore we saw seals snoozing in the sun on their own private rock. It was such a glorious summer day.
The little one-street town has some colourful shops and pubs, and a nice park with walking paths leading to awarding look-out points.
I had my first pint of Guinness (others will follow soon) while Mike went for an Irish coffee. The food looked and smelt promising too...
Those cruise calls are perfect for me to plan further holidays. The area has so much to offer. I will be back.
