Hong Kong, surprisingly green


Do you think skyscrapers, and skyscrapers only, when one says “Hong Kong”? So did I. However, much to my surprise I saw an almost poetic entente between the dazzling concrete towers and a wide array of beautiful trees and city gardens.

Before embarking on the Holland America Line ship VOLENDAM, for a two-week cruise to China, Korea and Japan, our little group of journalists was invited for a morning walk in Sheung Wan, one of the old districts of Hong Kong.
